Getting the Copyright Right

Ever notice how many websites have outdated copyrights at the bottom of the page?

That diminishes my trust in the website.

• The content and wisdom they share
• Is the project abandoned??
• If I buy with them today will they be around to provide support

Keeping the copyright up to date is a small indicator of care and involvement.

Here is an example from one of my favorite writing tools: Hemingway App. Guys, are you still doing this or what? I took these screenshots from various parts of their website on 04-09-2020:

I am not above forgetting to update my copyright - it is easy to overlook and I have overlooked it in the past.

There are tools to avoiding this though. With a little bit of javascript, you can the copyright date, up to date.
